After talking to Ivan Ziglar at the weigh-ins Friday night he said that it was up to him to work hard and prove that he was a legitimate fighter. He says with the team he has behind him he is on the right track. Last night Ziglar started making the moves he needed to make to prove just that. He was facing Eric "Fast Hands" Burke at the Walter E Washington Convention Center on the Keystone Boxing Promotions card. The bout was scheduled for 6 rounds. In rounds 1-3 both fighters were pretty much exchanging blows evenly. Ziglar dropped Burke 3 times during the fight. Rounds 4 and 5 were all Ziglar. Ivan found himself landing hard body shots and a few solid head shots that seemed to be taking effect on Burke. In the middle of round 5 that's when the referee said that Burke had enough and stopped the bout 1:33 in round 6 giving Ivan "King Shango" Ziglar the TKO victory.

Thomas "Top Dog" Williams Has A Short Night
Williams was in DC for the second time since he fought on the Khan vs Peterson under card back on December 10, 2011. Last night he was back at the same location of the Walter E Washington Convention Center fighting on a Keystone Boxing Promotion Card. Thomas "Top Dog" William just proved that he was too much for the still fresh to the ring Jess Noriego of Lynchburg, VA. Williams showed his power from the start of the bell by landing solid shots to the head and body of Noriego. The referee saw too much of this and stopped the bout 2:11 into round #1. Giving "Top Dog" the first round TKO victory over Jess Noriego.
