Buddy Harrison took time today to talk about the wins that his son Dusty Harrison has. Dusty being just 17 years old has been getting criticized about the quality of his opponents. At just 17 he has a record of 4-0 with 2 KO's. Some people say that all the fighters have been old or didn't belong in the ring. Buddy Harrison's response the them are " He's my son and he's only 17. I'm going to protect him and build him up slowly. I don't care what people think or say." Dusty's last two fights have been at the Washington Convention Center and both were first round KO's. His next bout will take place at the same location May 12, 2012. Keystone Promotions has been putting events together in the DC area and they have been doing a great job at it. Team Dusty is always happy to fight on a Keystone Promotion card. They even made Dusty the main event on the last card March 10, 2012. Harrison is a free agent and it seems like he will be fighting in DC for as long as he can. He has a great home fan base and his Team thinks this is the best decision for Dusty right now. Who knows what will happen when Dusty turns 18. His first KO win was on the Khan vs Peterson under card and A Golden Boy Promotions Event on HBO.
Today the press conference for the Peterson vs Khan II rematch was held in Washington DC. Buddy Harrison made the prediction of a Peterson win in the first bout they had. Harrison was so confident of a Peterson win that he said he would bet his house on it. Harrison still owns his home and is predicting another Peterson win. This time by a 11th round KO.
