Corley Gets More Frequent Flyer Miles
DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley arrived in Northern Ireland Monday morning April 30, 2012 for a week of media interviews and to get ready for his next light welterweight fight against 32 year old Paul McCloskey who is 23-1 (12KO's). Corley has very much been awaiting his chance to get back into the ring. His last scheduled fight was supposed to be this past April 7th in St. Maarten against Luis Ernesto Jose was cancelled. Following the cancellation of that fight Corley got the call for the McCloskey fight. McCloskey is a tough fighter but that is nothing new for the hometown fighter. Corley has been in the ring with even tougher fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Jr, Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah, Marcos Maidana, and Devin Alexander. DeMarcus says he is in Ireland to win. That's what he trained for and that is what he wants to keep doing after his January 21, 2012 unanimous decision win over Gabriel Bracero for the NABF Light Welterweight Title.
