The family of brothers share a few things. It starts with their first name Gary, followed by the love of boxing, and finally the dedication it takes to push each other to be the best. One of the brothers made it to the highest level that any boxer can achieve. "Mr" Gary Russell Jr. 26-1, (15 KO's) became the WBC Featherweight Champion of the world after he defeated Jhonny Gonzalez by fourth round TKO on March 28, 2015 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. That victory opened up another opportunity for the brothers to created a higher goal for themselves. They won numerous amateur titles, and now they will follow their brother's footsteps to also become world champions someday. On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Shops At Iverson, the Russell brothers, Gary Jr., Antonio, Antuanne and Allan will be at Iverson Mall, located at 3737 Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, signing autographs beginning at 1:30 PM.
Join faith and community leaders, residents and nonprofits from DC and PG County as they join together to show support to law enforcement during the annual Unity in the Community Parade and Festival. The parade starts in Southeast DC to Iverson Mall at 9 a.m.
