Antoine "Action" Douglas Remains Undefeated With Dominating Performance over Les Sherrington
On Friday night, November 6 at the D in Las Vegas, NV Antoine Douglas of Burke, VA made his fifth appearance on SHOBOX The New Generation. Douglas and Sherrington faced each other for a scheduled 10 round WBO International Middleweight title bout.
Douglas took control of the contest from opening bell. He used a solid jab to keep Sherrington off balance. With using the jab Douglas was able follow up with a straight right hand to the chin that dropped Sherrington for the eight count. In this short bout Douglas was able to use both his strong jab and a solid left hook to put Sherrington down throughout the bout.
Douglas was able to repeatedly send Sherrington to the canvas after the first knockdown of the opening round. Sherrington went down one more time in the second, and twice in the third. It was the fifth and final knockdown in the forth round that caused referee Kenny Bayless stopped the bout at 1:02.
Antoine Douglas gets the TKO victory to become the WBO International Middleweight Champion.
Antoine Douglas increases his record to 19-0-1, (13 KO's) while Sherrington falls to 35-8, (19 KO's).
