The main event at the DC Armory was a 10 round bout featuring hometown Washington, DC Dusty Hernandez-Harrison taking on Mike Dallas Jr. in a 10-round welterweight bout.
Dallas Jr. looked to be the more active fighter throughout the entire fight. He opened up using the jab to the body and bringing it upstairs to the head of Harrison. Harrison stood in front of Dallas Jr. with a closed guard and would throw one shot at Dallas, who would respond back with three or four of his own. This was the case in the early rounds. The many combinations that Dallas Jr. threw sent Harrison down in the fifth round for a eight count. Harrison finally came out and started using his jab to score some points , and maybe looked to win a few rounds. In the eighth round it looked to be a low blow from Harrison sent Dallas Jr. down to the canvas was called a knockdown. The question is why wasn't Harrison using his reach advantage in the fight? It was the absents of Harrison's jab that built up the confidence in Dallas Jr. in this fight. Harrison did start to throw more shots in the later rounds, but the shots Dallas Jr. landed in the early part of the fight showed on the face of Harrison, who had both eyes bruised. At the close of the final round both men went toe to toe exchanging hard shots exciting the crowd. From ringside PAFT saw the bout 98-92 for Dallas Jr. while Judge Paul Wallace scored the bout 96-92 for Dallas Jr. Judge Tammye Jenkins saw the contest 95-94 Harrison and Judge Wayne Smith saw it as a draw, 95-95.
Harrison is now 29-0-1 (16 KO's) and Mike Dallas Jr. is 21-3, (10 KO's) with one questionable draw.
