Results From The Victory Boxing Card In Springfield, VA, October 14!

Super bantamweight Daron "Sweet Tay" Williams out of Washington, DC, had his first five professional fights in Phoenix, AZ. Last night at the ABC Sport Complex in Springfield, VA is where he made his hometown area debut as the main-event. He took on Marquis Pierce of Newark, NJ in a scheduled six-round contest, but Williams handle Pierce in only part of the first-round. Williams looked to be very relaxed until he saw the moment to release a number of various punches to overwhelm Pierce that cause referee Billy Johnson to stop the contest at 1:46 of the round.

Daron Williams remains undefeated with a record of (6-0, 3 KO's) while giving Marquis Pierce his thirteenth loss.

The co-feature involved Capitol Heights, MD super bantamweight Thomas "KO" Snow taking on Stephon McIntyre of Jonesboro, GA in a six-round bout. Snow was able to outwork McIntyre throughout the contest. McIntyre was trying to counter punch Snow but had little success. At times it looked as if McIntyre was trying to come forward, but the veteran southpaw Snow used angles to stay out of trouble. Judge Ron Rodriguez saw the contest, 59-55 and judge Luc Belhumeur scored it 58-56 while Judge Brian Costello scored every round for Snow 60-54 giving him the unanimous decision win. 

Thomas Snow is now (19-3, 12 KO's).  McIntyre is now (2-35-2).

District Heights, MD twin brothers Justin and Jason Bell had back to back bouts on the card. Light heavyweight Justin Bell scored a second-round TKO over the debuting Ben D. Williams of Benton Harbor, MI. Williams started off trying to land some shots, but the Justin started to walk Williams down with hard power shots. It was a solid right hand to the body that dropped Williams to one knee. The bout was stopped at 1:37 of round two.  Justin Bell is now (3-0, 2 KO's).

The other half of the Bell twins, Jason fought his way to a four-round unanimous decision over the debuting Alan Stephenson of Richmond, VA. Jason used the same tactics as his twin Justin by going to the body of his opponent. The bout could have ended early when Bell landed a hard body shot on Stephenson towards the end of the second-round. Bell didn't turn up the pressure and Stephenson was able to stay in the contest. It was the consistency of Bell that got him the unanimous decision win on all three judges scorecards 40-36 improving his record to (3-0, 1 KO).

Jean-Jacques Broussard out of Alexandria, VA made his welterweight debut taking on debuting Tyrone Beauford of Benton Harbor, MI. Broussard seemed to be a little uncomfortable with the style of Beauford. Beauford was throwing punches from odd angels with little success. Broussard's amateur background experience came into play when he started finding the range to land shots to slow down Beauford causing referee Mark D'Attilio to stop the bout at 1:05 of the third-round. 

Philadelphia, PA welterweight prospect Jaron "Boots" Ennis scored an first round TKO over Ayi "Bruce Lee" Bruce of Albany, NY by way of Accra, Ghana. This bout was looked at as a challenge for for Ennis but that was not the case. Bruce wasn't able to throw a single punch because of the fast start of Ennis. From the sound of the bell Ennis landed combination after combination that sent Bruce into the ropes. It was a left hand that sent Bruce down for the eight count and Ennis continued with the pressure to forced referee Billy Johnson to stop the bout at 1:37. Jaron Ennis records remains perfect at (16-0, 14 KO's) while Bruce drops to (23-15, 15 KO's).

Alex Lara, super middleweight out of Manhattan, NY made his pro debut by stopping the debuting Zameze Braswell of Elm City, NC at 2:34 of the first round for the TKO victory. Braswell landed a shot that seemed to put Lara on shaky legs for a few seconds, but Lara quickly recovered. Lara bounced back and sent Braswell to the canvas with a right hand to the head. Braswell beat the count, and Lara landed  another right hand that dropped Braswell for a second to get the bout stopped.

Undefeated super welterweight prospect Zsolt "The Phenom" Daryani of Toronto, Ontario, Canada defeated Fabian Lyimo of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania at 1:32 of the first-round. Daryani started the bout by landing some hard shots that did quick damage to Lyimo. Daryani saw that Lyimo was hurt and he landed a right hand to drop Lyimo to the canvas. Referee Mark D'Attilio stopped the bout before completing the count. Daryani is now (13-0, 12 KO's) while Lyimo falls to 23-8-2, 15 KO's.

"The Cuban Princess" Bertha Aracil of Yonkers, NY handle the debuting Rayven Chatman of Rocky Mount, NC in the first-round of the opening bout of last night's card at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA. Chatman was totally defenseless as Aracil swarmed her with punches that caused the bout to be  stopped at 52 seconds. Bertha Aracil is now (4-0, 3 KO's).
