Lamont Roach Jr. (16-0-1, 6 KOs) is returning to the ring for his second opportunity to win the vacant international WBO super featherweight title. This time he faces Deivis "El Cabo" Julio Bassa (20-4, 12 KOs) on Friday July 20th at the Grand Oasis Cancun. The bout will headline a Golden Boy on ESPN card in Cancun, Mexico.
Both fighters hit the scale in preparation for their championship showdown. Bassa weighed in at 128.8 pounds and Roach also came in under the 130 pound limit with a weight of 129.4.
