Local Amateur Boxers Feed The Homeless In Washington DC!

Diamonds In The Ruff and Sweet Science of Boxing put together a amateur event that started with a successful Meet and Greet Press Conference they held on July 27th at the Dave and Buster's in Capitol Heights, MD.

The second part of the event took place on Friday August 10th, when some of the Beltway Boxing area amateur boxers spent some time to feed the homeless in Washington, DC.

The young men from Diamonds In The Ruff and Headbangers gym served food to the homeless at the Franklin Square Park located on 14th & K St. NW, Washington, DC.

On August 17 one of the young men representing the team from the DMV will be having a media workout. Jermaine Royster of Richmond, VA will have a two hour workout for media and fans starting at 6:30pm.

The highlight of the this experience for the young boxers will be on August 24th. The Summer Boxing Explosion Amateur card will take place at the District Heights Recreation Center located at 2000 Marbury Dr. in District Heights, MD. This card will feature Washington DC., Maryland and Virginia amateurs taking on boxers from Philadelphia.

The weigh-in and faceoff will be on August 23rd at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Capitol Heights, MD. Time will be posted when available or call the phone number on the flyer.
