(Photos by Daniel Cork) In the opening bout of the Jeter Promotions card inside the Event Center at the Live! Casino Hotel in Hanover, MD, Philadelphia, PA welterweight Corey "The Thoroughbred" Weekley defeated Champ "Preacherman" Moultrie of Ellicott City, MD by knockout in the third round at 2:26.
Weekley took full advantage of the ineffective punches Moultrie had to offer. There was no power even at the times he would land a shot or two. Weekley on the other hand had effective power with the larger punch output of his offense. In the third-round Weekley landed a right hand that sent Moultrie to the canvas of a eight count. After Moultrie made it back to his feet Weekley continued to pressure him until referee Brent Bovell stopped the contest.
Corey Weekley gets his first win and is now (1-2, 1 KO) while Champ Moultrie starts his boxing career off at (0-1).

In a scheduled four-round lightweight bout the Baltimore City Police Officer out of Cockeysville, MD Brandon "Brody" Chambers defeated Fred Thornton of Shelby, NC by TKO at 1:16 of the second-round.
In the opening round it was Thornton who was the first to apply pressure. Chambers stayed calm while using good head movement to avoid the wide shots Thornton was trying to land. Chambers soon stepped up his offensive as he was able to find his distance. Chamber started to throw more accurate punches as he landed a hard right hand to stun Thornton to the point where it caused referee Bill Clancy to stop the contest.
Chambers gets his first victory to improve to (1-0-1, 1 KO) while Thornton is (0-2).

Elkridge, MD lightweight "The Red Comet" Dante Cox stops Hakim Smith of Philadelphia, PA at the end of round two. Cox gets a refreshing victory after suffering a eye opening loss to Drayvontay Speed Rawls a few months ago on a previous Jeter Promotions card.
In this bout against Smith it was a completely different Cox. "The Red Comet" put together a complete offense that was full of good body and head shots. It didn't take much time for the power shots to take effect. Cox closed out the second-round by landing some hard uppercuts and right hands to the face and body as the bell sounded. After making it to his stool Smith's corner decided not to send him out for the third round. They signaled to referee
David Braslow to stop the bout.
Cox is now (4-1, 3 KO's) while Smith is now (1-3-1).

AJ "We Are" Williams the super middleweight out of Cockeysville, MD won a four-round unanimous decision over Brock Willis of Clarksburg, West Virginia.
A.J. Williams was the taller fighter in this contest, but made it a little harder than it needed to be for himself. At times Williams used his jab very well but didn't keep it consistent. When Williams slacked off the jab Willis took that opportunity to slide inside and land some looping shots of his own. Williams returned to using his jab to set up some good body and head shots to go on to get the victory. All three judges scored the contest the same at 40-36.
Williams is now (2-1, 1 KO) while Willis falls to (1-4, 1 KO).

Suitland, MD's "The Ambitious One" Malik Loften defeated Carlos Marrero of Bridgeport, CT by fourth-round unanimous decision.
Both Loften and Marrero started a little slow in the opening round as they tried to find their distance. Loften was the better of the two in the remaining three rounds to gain momentum. He kept a tight defense as he landed jabs and body shots with much caution. Marrero tried to counter but wasn't in position to land his punches consistently. Judges Brent Bovell, Bill Clancy, and Eric Irizarry scored every round for Loften at (40-36).
Loften, improves to (3-1, 1 KO) as Marrero's falls to (1-3-1).

In a super featherweight bout Ebrima Jawara of Germantown, MD battled to a six-round unanimous decision win over Marquel Johns of Fort Washington,MD.
Jawara, the taller fighter did a good job of using his jab to keep Johns at a reasonable distance to control the first two rounds. Johns changed things for a moment when he slipped inside of Jawara's jab to land a hard left that dropped Jawara to the canvas. Jawara looked to be hurt as made it to his feet at the count of nine. To finish out the round Jawara did a smart thing by holding onto Johns until the bell sounded. That one minute break in between rounds was enough for Jawara to get back into the fight and take control. He landed a hard right hand that hurt Johns in round four. Jawara used his jab to set up some good combinations to finish the contest. Judges Dave Braslow and Eric Irizarry scored the bout 58-55 while Bill Clancy saw the bout 57-56.
Jawara is now (2-1, 1 KO) while Johns is now (7-2-2, 6 KO's).

In a scheduled four-round featherweight contest Jordan White of Washington, DC defeated Vincent Jennings of Kentwood, MI by TKO.
Jordan White took his time in the opening round as he tried to find his distance to size up Jennings. He landed a few shots to the body of Jennings but came up a hair short as he tried landing to the head. The second and third rounds had much of the same results but White still was in complete control of the contest. Things changed in the fourth-round as White press forward and became more aggressive to sent Jennings to the canvas with a hard left hand. Jennings beat the count, but White continued to pressure him against the ropes until referee Dave Braslow jumped in to stop the contest in the fourth-round at 1:34.
Jordan White is now (9-1, 7 KO's) while Vincent Jennings drops to (6-9-2, 4KO's).

In the co-feature of the evening it was Bowie, MD super middleweight "The King's Son" Jerry Odom making his hometown return to the ring with a second-round knockout over Tahir Thomas of Salisbury, MD at 2:10.
This bout started with both fighters throwing hard shots in the hopes of connecting with bad intentions. At times they did land on each other. Thomas landed his looping shots as Odom returned his own hard shots. It was in the second round when the hardest blow of the fight would find a home. It was Odom's right hand that landed first to send Thomas to the canvas in dramatic fashion. It took no count from referee Brent Bovell. He automatically waved the bout off giving Odom the knockout victory.
Odom improves to (16-3-1, 15 KO's) while Thomas falls to (4-2-1, 3 KO's).
