On Saturday night's TGB Promotions card at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD the two younger brothers of WBC featherweight champion "Mr." Gary Russell Jr. put on great performances.
Super lightweight Gary Antuanne “The Last” Russell out of Capitol Heights, MD kept his record perfect as he scores a second-round knockout over Juan Huertas of Panama City, Panama. Russell showed pure domination as he banged and battered Huertas all over the ring during round one. It was multiple combinations from different angles that sent Huertas in defensive mode. In the second, Russell continued to punish Huertas with lighting quick head and body shots until he dropped him to the canvas. Huertas could not beat the count from referee Bill Clancy and the bout was stopped at 40 seconds. Russell continues on with a perfect record of (12-0, 12 KO’s) while Huertas suffers his second loss and falls to (14-2-1, 10 KO’s).

Russell didn't need much time in this bout to finish off Gutierrez. Russell landed plenty of hard head and body shots. Russell used his jab up and downstairs very effectively as it showed that Gutierrez was definitely out matched. Russell backed Gutierrez up against the ropes and landed a left jab followed by a overhand right to drop Gutierrez to the canvas. Referee Kenny Chevalier started his eight but stop to waive the contest off at 2:01 of the first-round. Antonio Russell improves to (16-0, 12 KO's) while Samuel Gutierrez falls to (16-26-6, 6 KO's).
