Franchón Crews-Dezurn Drops Undisputed Titles To Savannah Marshall

In the opening round, Franchon was throwing power punches although she had the shorter reach. It was an in the pocket type of fight, but at it was Savannah who landed some good hooks.

Franchon and Savannah threw their best and strongest shots. They went plow for plow until they came to a clinch that the referee had to break up numerous of times.

It was Savannah who found her left-hand that landed clean on the Cruz who continued to keep coming forward. Cruz took away the straight punches. Savannah found another opportunity to use her jab and sometimes mixed it up a little to keep Cruz off balance.

Marshall made adjustments on her punches to keep Cruz at the end of her punches. Cruz was showing clear signs of fatigue, but she clearly shower heart by pressing forward. Even with the aggressive Cruz coming forward it was Marshall who managed to get some space and straight punches in her favor. After a number of tie-ups the referee had to break up Marshall found a way to maintain the ability to outwork Cruz until the final bell.
