Kings Promotions Card Is A Go!

Kings Promotions is presenting another card in the Beltway Boxing area better known as the DMV. Now they can say they've given more young fighters a chance to fight in front of their hometown fans of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. On Saturday night, November 5th Marshall Kauffman returns back to the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland. On this card Kings Promotions fighter Myke "Professor" Fox will showcase his technical talent once again as the main event.

Reeves Set To Battle For IBO Title On November 12th In Baltimore!

Maryland Cruiserweight Champion Travis Reeves battles for the IBO Light Heavyweight Championship November 12.

Shawstyle Productions and Shabazz Brotherz return to Baltimore for the much awaited and imminent 6th installment of the Baltimore Boxing Renaissance with a November To Remember. Following countless unprecedented standing room only and completely sold out shows; the Baltimore Boxing Renaissance (BBR6) is back like never before and this time at the Coppermine Du Burns Arena on November 12, 2016.

Returning to the ring is Baltimore boxer Travis "Seveer" Reeves who is currently the Maryland State Cruiserweight Champion. Reeves will battle for the IBO Light Heavy Weight Championship on November 12. Also returning to the ring is Jeffery “Gladiator” McCalla and Kwame "Rambo Time" Ritter with a KO victory under his belt. Stephon "The Surgeon" Morris, will continue his impressive career, squaring off in the "Keys to the City" card against Devin Butcher deeming BBR6 another history maker.

Sharif Rahman, son of BBR6 Host and former Lineal, WBC, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, will be returning to the ring after an impressive KO during his professional debut at BBR4. Mushin Cason, younger brother of Hasim Rahman, will also step into the ring.

Among the crowd will be WBC Featherweight Champion Gary Russell Jr., other special invited guests to include Public Figures, Professional Athletes, Dignitaries, and a host of dedicated fans.

A Pre-Fight Press Conference will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mano Swartz Furs, 10801 Falls Road, Lutherville, MD at 6PM hosted by Richard 'The Owner" Swartz.

The main event fighters and their corners will be on hand for Q&A. The Weigh-In will be held on Friday November 11 at Game Sports Bar and Grill, 1400 Warner Street, Baltimore, MD also at 6PM. Fighters will tip the scale before they face off at the Baltimore Boxing Renaissance. The 6th installment of the Baltimore Boxing Renaissance (VI) is set to take place at the Coppermine Du Burns Arena, located at 3100 Boston Street in Baltimore, MD Saturday November 12, 2016 from 5PM – 11:30PM EST.

Joey "Bazooka" Veazey Has Successful Professional Debut!

Baltimore, MD Middleweight Joey “Bazooka Joe” Veazey wins pro debut over Roanoke, VA’s Alberto Delgado by unanimous decision  at the Body Renew Fitness in Winchester, VA.
The judges scored the bout 40-36 and 39-37 twice. 

Veazey starts his career off at 1-0 while Alberto Delgado falls to 0-1-1. 

Joey “Bazooka Joe” Veazey Makes First Professional Weigh-In!

Joey Veazey gets one step closer to making his professional debut. 

Tonight in Winchester, VA it was weigh-in time for Veazey. He weighed in at 150 lbs while his opponent Alberto Delgado out of Roanoke, VA weighed in at 152 lbs in preparation for their four round bout at the Body Renew Fitness in Winchester, VA.

D'Mitrius Ballard Hits The Scale In Quebec!

Undefeated Super Middleweight D'Mitrius "Big Meech" Ballard 14-0, 10 KO's out of Temple, Hills, MD weighed in today at 169.2 lbs in preparation for his bout against 9-1-1, 5 KO's Gergo Horvath of Budapest, Hungary. Horvath weighed in at 166 lbs. 

The bout will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. It can be seen online at www.punchinggrace.com. First bout at 6:30 pm.

Joey “Bazooka Joe” Veazey Scheduled To Make Professional Debut!

Baltimore, MD Middleweight Joey “Bazooka Joe” Veazey will make his highly anticipated pro debut Saturday, October 22 when he faces Roanoke, VA’s Alberto Delgado at Body Renew Fitness in Winchester, VA.




Fighting out of the Baltimore Boxing Club, Veazey was a top performer in the amateurs, winning many tournaments and earning an international ranking during his impressive 100 fight career. He graduated from Northeast High School as an honor student in May and will be pursuing a mathematical engineering or computer science degree. The popular 18-year-old was a big crowd draw in and around the Baltimore area during his amateur career.

Veazey said of turning pro, “It’s a dream come true I’ve been looking forward this since my first amateur fight. I’m excited to go out there and follow my dream. The amateurs were fun but my dream has always been to go pro and to win world titles. I want to become a household name one day so now is the time to get on track.”

Jake Smith, Veazey’s manager and a longtime staple in the DC, Maryland, Virginia boxing scene, is extremely excited for his pro debut and sees a bright future.

“Joey’s a very poised and mature fighter far beyond his years. He’s a well-balanced person in and out of the ring who has everything in place to do well at the professional level. Those who have supported him since he was a young teenager know what he’s capable of doing and the fans seeing him for the first time on the 22nd are in for a great show.”

"SWIFT" JARRETT HURD GETTING OPPORTUNITIES AND MAKING THE BEST OF THEM!

PAFT had the opportunity to do a video interview with Swift Jarrett Hurd in 2013. During that time Jarrett was 4-0 and getting ready for his fifth fight.

Some might ask why am I posting this article about Jarrett Hurd. My answer to you is, he is a example of one blue print a up and coming fighter can use to work their way up in the sport of boxing.

Taking the right fights to give yourself an opportunity to move forward. Even if you are on the B side take advantage of it. The risk is worth the reward!

On November 14, 2015 Jarrett stole the spotlight from a up and coming fighter named Frank Galarza with a impressive TKO win. That win gave him another opportunity to fight another up and coming opponent named Oscar Molina on June 25, 2016. Hurd also defeated Molina by TKO. He currently is still currently undefeated with a record of (18-0, 12 KO's) and is getting ready for his next live televised bout on Nov.12th on the SpikeTV network.

The Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas have many other fighters that are moving the right way but are not getting the opportunities to advance and fight against opponents that will let them be known like they deserve.
