Demond Nicholson Stops Isaac Rodrigues To Win WBC USNBC Super Middleweight Title!

(Photos by Daniel Cork)

In the main event of the Jeter Promotions card inside the Live! Casino Hotel Event Center in Hanover Maryland Demond "D'BestAtIt" Nicholson got a six round knockout over the tough Brazilian Isaac Rodrigues to win the WCB USNBC super middleweight title.

Nicholson started the bout out very well by using his jab to maintain the distance he needed to open up the opportunity to land solid right hands on Rodrigues.  Nicholson continued to be aggressive in the next two rounds but Rodrigues was able to find his mark on Nicholson. Rodrigues looked to have Nicholson hurt a little but it wasn't enough to stop Nicholson from regaining control of the bout. In round six Nicholson's bodywork made the difference. Nicholson kept his jab working as he forced Rodrigues to keep a high guard. That's when Nicholson landed a vicious shot to the body of Rodrigues to drop him to the canvas and unable to beat the ten count. Referee Harvey Dock finished the count at 2:07 of round six.

Nicholson is now (18-3-1, 18 KO's) while Rodrigues is now (25-3, 20 KO's).

Fox Wins Decision Over Corley At The Live! Casino Hotel In Hanover, Maryland!

(Photos by Daniel Cork)

In the co-main event of the Jeter Promotions card at the Live! Casino Hotel Mykal "The Professor" Fox won by unanimous decision over DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley.

In a scheduled ten round contest of two local super lightweights it was Forestville, MD's Mykal "The Professor" Fox taking on veteran DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley. It was a clear height difference between the two, Fox 6'4" vs. Corley's 5'6". With being the shorter fighter Corley had Fox fighting backwards most of the bout. It was the reach of Fox that gave him the defensive advantage. At times Corley got inside the guard of Fox to land some body shots and looping right hands. As Fox was still fighting backwards he was able to keep a good distance to land his jab. Judges David Braslow and Paul Wallace scored the bout 96-94 while John Gradowski scored it 98-92.

Fox remains undefeated at (18-0, 4 KO's) and Corley is now (51-32-1, 28 KO's).
