In the main event of the Jeter Promotions card inside the Live! Casino Hotel Event Center in Hanover Maryland Demond "D'BestAtIt" Nicholson got a six round knockout over the tough Brazilian Isaac Rodrigues to win the WCB USNBC super middleweight title.
Nicholson started the bout out very well by using his jab to maintain the distance he needed to open up the opportunity to land solid right hands on Rodrigues. Nicholson continued to be aggressive in the next two rounds but Rodrigues was able to find his mark on Nicholson. Rodrigues looked to have Nicholson hurt a little but it wasn't enough to stop Nicholson from regaining control of the bout. In round six Nicholson's bodywork made the difference. Nicholson kept his jab working as he forced Rodrigues to keep a high guard. That's when Nicholson landed a vicious shot to the body of Rodrigues to drop him to the canvas and unable to beat the ten count. Referee Harvey Dock finished the count at 2:07 of round six. Nicholson is now (18-3-1, 18 KO's) while Rodrigues is now (25-3, 20 KO's).
