Malik Hawkins Head Back To Philly For Next Showdown!

Undefeated welterweight Malik Hawkins will headline the 2nd Met Philadelphia Boxing Series, when he takes on veteran Fabian Lyimo in a eight-round main event on Friday, April 26th at The Met Philadelphia.

The card is presented by Hard Hitting Promotions and Live Nation.

Hawkins has a record of 14-0 with nine knockouts. The 23 year-old out of Baltimore, Maryland is in his fifth year as a professional. Hawkins last bout was a eight-round unanimous decision over Gledwin Ortiz on February 23rd at The Met Philadelphia.

Lyimo of Tanzania has a record of 23-9-2 with 15 knockouts.  The 36 year-old is a 12 year-professional, has wins over three undefeated opponents.  In his last bout, Lyimo went eight-rounds before dropping a unanimous decision to Ismael Garcia on March 30th in Hockessin, Delaware.

Jahmal Harvey Brings Home Gold From Emil Jechev Youth Tournament!

Flyweight Jahmal Harvey of Oxon Hill, Maryland put on an outstanding performance at the Emil Jechev Youth Tournament in Botevgrad, Bulgaria. Jahmal Harvey won by 4-1 decision over Yasen Radev/BUL to win the Gold. Overall, Team USA performed well in Botevgrad, Bulgaria by winning seven medals, four gold, one silver and two bronze.

Top Ranked Amateur Jahmal Harvey Standing Strong In 2019 Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament!

Team USA is doing very well in Bulgaria. They are already guaranteed seven medals after picking up five more wins on the third day of action at the 2019 Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament.

Area Beltway boxer, USA #1 ranked amateur, Jahmal Harvey of Oxon Hill, Md is part of the USA Team. He's already advanced to the semifinals and secured a medal in the first session with a unanimous decision win over Luiz De Oliveria. Today Harvey will be battling Marian Radu of Romania for the championship slot.

Cassius Chaney Victorious In Philly!

Heavyweight Cassius Chaney of Baltimore, MD defeated Christian Mariscal of Tijuana, Baha California, Mexico by knockout on the Top Rank Promotions card at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

Chaney had no problem handling Mariscal in this scheduled sixth-round bout. Chaney sent Mariscal to the canvas early. Mariscal beat the eight-count, but Chaney continued the pressure to send him down for the final time. The bout was stopped at 2:16 of the first-round.

Chaney remains perfect at (15-0, 9 KO's) while Mariscal falls to (12-3, 5KO's).

Colby Madison Makes It A Short Night In Philadelphia!

Tonight on a Kings Promotions card, Owings Mills, MD heavyweight Colby Madison defeated Emilio Salas of Yonkers, NY by way of Coamo, Puerto Rico fby second round knockout at the Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia, PA.

Madison used good movement throughout round one to avoid the offense of Salas. Madison's jab set up some good looping right hands that connected to the head of Salas, causing him to hold on to Madison as the bell sounded to end round one. Madison opened up the next round with some good jabs and a solid right to the head of Salas to drop him to the canvas. Salas tried to get up but was too stunned to continue. The referee put a stop to the contest at 23 seconds into the second round. 

Madison improves to (8-0-2, 5 KO's) while Salas falls to (5-3-1, 3 KO's).
