Mike "Yes Indeed" Reed gets unanimous decision over Puerto Rico’s Luis Joel Gonzalez in a eight round contest at New York City’s Theater at Madison Square Garden. Reed looked to have control of every round. The judges scored the bout 80-73, 80-72 twice.

Super lightweight Michael “Yes Indeed” Reed (15-0, 8 KO's) took extended his unbeaten streak against a game Luis Gonzalez (11-2-1, 6 KO's). Reed was the aggressor and pressed Gonzalez from the word go as he was able to unload clean, crisp combinations frequently throughout every round. By the end of the 6th round, Gonzalez’s face was visibly marked up, a clear and evident sign that for all his heart, he just couldn’t outwit Reed and ended up second best in most exchanges.
