Owings Mills, MD heavyweight Colby Madison battled Guillermo Del Rio of South Houston, TX to a six-round draw on the Kings Promotions card at the 2300 Arena In Philadelphia, PA.
Madison seemed to have the edge with the height and reach advantage over Del Rio in the first two rounds. Madison used his jab to back Del Rio up, but he didn't use it in his favor throughout the rest of the bout. Madison made the contest harder than it should've been by letting Del Rio get close enough to land some good shots. Both fighters gassed out in the final round and wasn't able to finish strong enough to win over two of the judges decisions. It was the first and second rounds that one judge saw in favor of Madison, giving him the score of 58-56 while the other two judges scored it the same at 57-57.
Colby Madison's record is now (6-0-2, four KO's) while Del Rio is (2-2-1, two KO's).
