Washington, DC featherweight Marcus "Dreamcrusher" Bates lost an eight-round unanimous decision to undefeated Raeese Aleem of Las Vegas, NV in the co-feature of the Kings Promotions card at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. Aleem sent Bates to the canvest in the first round and never lost control of the bout after that. Bates lost by scores of 80-71 and 79-72 on the other two judges score cards. Bates is now (8-1-1, 7 KO's) while Aleem climbs to (11-0, 5 KO's).
