In the main-event last night on the King's Promotions card at the Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia, PA, Forestville, MD super lightweight Mykal "The Professor" Fox won an eight-round unanimous decision over Anthony Mercado of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. 
Fox has elevated his performance every time the opponents he's faced became more challenging as his career has grown. Last night Fox proved once again he is a technically sound fighter. Anthony Mercado, 5'-11" was one of the taller opponents that the 6'-4"Fox has faced. Mercado is a very talented fighter. He came into the contest with eleven wins, ten by knockout. Fox was able to avoid the power shots by using his skills very well in this bout by slipping punching and changing angles to score throughout each round. Fox won the bout by the scores of 78-74 and 79-73 twice.
Mykal "The Professor" Fox record remains perfect at (17-0, 4 KO's) while Mercado is now (11-4, 10 KO's).
