Alexandria, Virginia’s Brandon "Bulldog" Quarles defeated Todd Manuel of Rayne, LA by ten-round unanimous decision in their middleweight bout that took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
The uppercut seemed to be the key go to punch for Quarles as he landed them to the body of Manuel. Quarles worked Manuel up against the ropes and landed one of those body shots that looked to hurt Manuel. Manuel landed a left hook of his own that paused the action of Quarles for a moment, but did stop the pressure. The activity of Quarles is what separated this bout and the judges at ringside scored it 97-93, 98-92 twice.Brandon Quarles improves to (21-4-1, 10 KO's) while Manuel falls to (17-17-1, 5 KO's).
