Lou DiBella female featherweight "The Dark Menace" Tiara Brown got the TKO over former world champion Dahiana Santana on the Shabazz Brotherz Boxing card Saturday night, December 8 at the A.C. Jordan Arena on the campus of Bowie State University.
Brown look more than outstanding as she dominated the former champion from start to finish. Brown was relaxed as she slipped side to side dodging any shots Santana tried to land. Brown used a good jab to slide inside to land body shots on Santana. The defense of Brown worked great as she blocked shots and counted with her own. Towards the closing of the second-round Brown put together some good combinations. Santana was a little more defensive minded in the third-round, but Brown turned up the action by pumping her jab to set up more combinations that started to hurt Santana. In round four Santana showed that she was hurt and started to hold on throughout the round causing referee Kenny Chevalier to take a point away. Brown pressed forward to land more shots as the round ended. Santana had enough and did not answer the bell to start the fifth-round. Chevalier waved the bout off and it goes into the record book as a TKO for Brown.Tiara Brown remains perfect at (7-0, 5 KO's) while the former champion, Santana falls to (36-11, 15 KO's).
