After training so hard for his IBO and UBC Title shot DeMarcus Corley received a call that he didn't want. The promoter of the April 7th fight against Luis Ernesto Jose has cancelled the entire event. According to Corley he was told that the fight would be the same time of the big Carnival event in St. Maarten. So the promoter decided to cancel. DeMarcus said he will only fight there if they doubled the money and paid him up front. Now Corley will do as he normally does, that is keep training and wait for his next big break. He also says he is ready to take on any fighter that is willing to step up to the plate. With the IBO and UBC titles being vacant Corley hopes that a promoter will put a card together and pay the sanction fees for a title fight. Corley says he isn't upset but he just feels let down.
