Damon Jackson has been working with his son 18 year old Jerode Covington since the age of 5. Being 18 Jerode has had only 3 amateur fights. Talking to his Dad Damon, he says people have been telling him that Jerode's style of fighting wasn't for the amateur ring. So Damon and Jerode feels as if it's time to take their style of fighting to the professional ranks. They both feel that this is the right decision for them both and will be turning pro within the next 2 weeks.
