In the main event of a Hard Hitting Promotions card at The Met in Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD welterweight Malik "Ice Man" Hawkins wins by unanimous decision over Andre Byrd of Jacksonville, FL for the vacant NBA Americas belt.
Hawkins was the stronger puncher throughout the contest. Byrd did a lot of holding when he was able to get close to Hawkins, but in round seven Hawkins landed a shot that caused Byrd to take a knee for an eight count. All three judges scored the contest for Hawkins, 78-74 and 80-71 twice.
Hawkins improves to Hawkins (15-0, 9 KO's) while Byrd falls to (7-7-2, 1 KO).

Silver Spring, MD super featherweight Suliaman Segawa defeated Gadwin Rosa of Ocala, FL by eight-round unanimous decision at The Met in Philadelphia, PA. The report from ringside says that Segawa looked very strong in the early rounds.

The junior lightweight lefty dominated the action throughout, hurting Rosa several times during the fight. Rosa showed plenty of durability, but fell far short on the official cards. Two judges scored it the same at 79-73 while the other judge saw it 80-72.
