Mykal Fox Defeats Fazliddin Gaibnazarov In Arizona!

Last night on a Top Rank promotions card that was streamed on ESPN+, Forestville, MD super lightweight Mykal "The Professor" Fox won by 10-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Fazliddin “Fayzi” Gaibnazarov of Los Angeles, CA by way of Uzbekistan Saturday at the Tucson Arena in Tucson, AZ.

Fox used his height and a good jab to gain the advantage over Gaibnazarov.  The height was definitely a problem for Gaibnazarov, who was frustrated throughout the ten-round bout. Gaibnazarov had trouble getting inside and a points was taken from him in the seventh and eighth rounds for holding.  All three judges favored the bout for Fox with the scores of 95-93 and 96-92 (twice).  Fox is now (20-1, 5 KO's) as Gaibnazarov suffers his first loss and falls to (7-1, 4 KO's).
