R.I.P Abodunrin "BIG BO" Akinyanju


Sad news for boxing in our local boxing area. Bo was in a fatal traffic accident on the New Jersey Turnpike today. It was reported that as Bo was returning home from making some deliveries when a tractor-trailer made an illegal U-turn and hit Bo's vehicle head-on.



In honor of "Big Bo", current undefeated welterweight Dusty Hernandez Harrison will donate his entire purse to the family of Akinyanju. Harrison's next fight is August 25, 2012.

Bo was 28 years old. He leaves behind a wife and baby boy who was just born on August 12, 2012.

Another Parker Pro Debut



Harold Parker started the Parker brothers off to a great start in their careers as professional boxers. Harold's pro debut was back on March 12, 2012. That win was a third round TKO over Marcus Bess. Since then, Harold has a record of 2-0 (2KO's) He is headed towards his third fight on August 25,2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This card is headlined by popular undefeated Washington, DC welterweight Dusty Hernandez Harrison. This card, hosted by Keystone Boxing Promotions will also be the pro debut of Harold Parker's younger brother Joshua Parker. Joshua will be facing 0-1 Jason Meeks.
