Bazinyan Edges Fox In Canada

On Thursday night, February 2, 2023 at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada Erik Bazinyan (29-0, 21 KO's) won a hard-fought ten round majority decision over Alantez Fox, now (28-4-1, 13 KO's). This contest was a super middleweight fight for the NABF and NABA title belts. The contest looked hard to score, but in questionable judging, some would say judges Guy Girard and Marie Josee Guerin, scores were off when they gave eight rounds apiece to Bazinyan (98-92), but judge Jean Gauthier scored the fight a draw, (95-95).

Fox started very well in rounds one through six by using his jab that caused Bazinyan fight on the defensive side. Things seemed to change from rounds seven until the final bell sounded. In the late rounds Bazinyan's momentum changed. He became the more aggressive fighter by being first with his punches and landing the harder and cleaner shots.

Bazinyan is now (29-0, 21 KO's) while Upper Marlboro, MD's Alantez Fox is now (28-4-1, 13 KO's).
