Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson Dominates In Front Of His Hometown Crowd!

It was a short but entertaining night of boxing inside the Patapsco Arena in Baltimore, MD. This four bout card had one fight that went the distance.

Here are the results of the Shabazz Brotherz and Xquizit Sports professional boxing card that took place Saturday night at the Patapsco Arena in Baltimore, MD.

The main-event featured Baltimore, MD middleweight Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson getting the early TKO over Luis Solis of Progreso, Yucatán, Mexico. Simpson came out strong at the sound of the bell as he tried to land that knockout blow. Simpson went to the body and head early to show Solis that he wasn't going to make it through the first-round. Simpson backed Solis into a neutral corner and went to work. It was all power shots that Solis couldn't handle. Referee Bill Clancy saw that Solis was definitely hurt and not defending himself so he stopped the contest at 1:50 of the opening round.

Lorenzo Simpson improves to (11-0, 7 KO's) while Luis Solis drops to (25-14, 21 KO's).

Here's the full fight.

In the co-featured bout Darren Cunningham won by eight-round unanimous decision over Rob Diezel. Cunningham of Las Vegas was coming off a unanimous decision loss of his own to Joseph Ambo a few months earlier in August. That particular bout was for the vacant NABF super bantamweight title. Cunningham got on track with a solid performance against Diezel. Cunningham sent Diezel to the canvas in the second but didn't capitalize to get the stoppage. Diezel recovered and pretty much was on survival mode during each remaining round. Cunningham tried to land the knockout punch that could possibly end the fight but never set it up properly. All three judge scored the contest for Cunningham 80-71.

Darren Cunningham improves to (14-1, 7 KO's) while Rob Diezel is now (14-9, 4 KO's).

In a scheduled six-round cruiserweight contest Muhsin Cason defeated Lamont Capes by TKO. In this bout Cason did a good job of going to the body of Capers early. Cason showed he had a power jab that he landed often on Capers. Capers landed a hard right hand but Cason took that shot well. Cason kept the pressure up and came forward while forcing Capers against the rope where he put a flurry of shots together that Capers couldn't handle. Capers took a knee three different times during the round causing referee Bill Clancy to stop the bout a 2:58 of round three.

Muhsin Cason record remains a perfect (9-0, 6 KO's) while Lamont Capers fall to(11-16-5, 2 KO's).

In the opening bout of the Shabazz Brotherz and Xquizit Sports card Rashad Dendy of Baltimore, MD performed well in his pro debut by getting a TKO victory over John Brewer of Missouri in the first-round of their middleweight contest. Dendy went straight at Brewer landing all power shots. Brewer felt the power early and had no chance of putting together his punches. Brewer was getting hurt more and more as Dendy kept he hard punches coming. Referee Brent Bovell jumped in to save Brewer from the punishment. The bout was stopped at 2:33 of the opening round.

Rashad Dendy starts his pro career at (1-0, 1 KO) while John Brewer falls to (3-4-1, 2 KO's).
