Results From CyNation Sports Card at Rosecroft Raceway

Here are the results from the CyNation Sports five bout professional boxing card that took place at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD.

In the main-event of the CyNation Sports card at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD, Dominique Crowder of Baltimore, MD remains undefeated with a unanimous decision win over Rob Deziel of Seattle, WA.  In this eight-round super bantamweight contest Crowder showed is boxing skills well by using the ring to move while landing his jab, body shots as well as putting together some good combinations. From the opening bell Crowder took control of the fight. Deziel was using a high guard to defend himself from the hooks coming from both sides. Deziel was definitely there to fight but he was clearly out boxed. All three judges scored the contest the same at 80-72. Crowder is now (10-0, 6 KO's) while Rob Deziel falls to (14-8, 4 KO's).

In the co-feature Upper Marlboro MD's Rianna Rios won by majority decision over Unique Harris of Philadelphia, PA.

Rianna Rios performance looked to be dominating in all four rounds of this bantamweight contest. Rios controlled the ring and landed the cleaner shots throughout. Rios did some good bodywork causing Harris to use more defense and less offensive punching. Rios continued to press Harris in each round and never had any trouble doing so. Judge John Gradowski saw the bout even at 38-38 but was overruled by judges Dave Braslow and Paul Wallace, both scoring it 40-36.  Rios improves to (2-0) while Unique Harris falls to (1-4-1).

The first bout on this CyNation Sports card was a scheduled four-round contest that featured two bantamweight fighters making their professional debut. Chris Glenn of Hagerstown, MD defeated Kameron Ricks-Holmes of Temple Hills, MD by majority decision. In the opening round both fighters tried to find their distance. A few shots were landed by both fighters but nothing to say the were in control. The second and third rounds were a little more active. Rick-Holmes landed more of the good shots as Glenn tried to counter punch. The fighters entertained the crowd by letting their hands go until the final bell. Judge Dave Braslow scored the contest 38-38 but was overruled by Don Risher 39-37 and John Gradowski 40-36.

Victor Williams of Washington, DC defeated Angelo Thompson of Irvington, NJ by TKO in their Jr. middleweight bout. Williams established himself early by landing head and body shots to send Thompson down for the eight count in the first-round. It was the same in the second-round as Williams kept coming forward to throw more hard shots as he landed a left to the body of Thompson that dropped him again in the second-round. After the eight count Williams jumped on Thompson again, but referee Dave Braslow saw he in trouble waved the contest off at 1:36 of round two. Williams keeps a perfect record of (3-0, 3 KO's) while Angelo Thompson falls to (0-3).

Veshawn Champion of Dayton, Ohio defeated Rashad Kilpatrick of Waldorf, MD by TKO. Champion and Kilpatrick went plow for plow in the first-round of their Jr. middleweight match-up. The punches were much of the same from both fighters in round two. Kilpatrick backed Champion up into the corner and Champion returned the favor as he backed Kilpatrick against the ropes with hard shots as the round ended. Round three is when Champion added more power to his shots. Those shots started to make a difference. Kilpatrick looked to be hurt as he tried to move around the ring. The ringside physicians noticed Kilpatrick was in trouble and requested that referee Kenny Chavalier stopped the bout at 2:16 of round three. Veshawn Champion improves his record to (2-0, 1 KO) while Rashad Kilpatrick suffers his first defeat and is now (5-1, 2 KO's).
