David Grayton Drops Decision In Philadelphia!

(Photos by Daniel Cork)

In the co-feature of the Kings Promotions card live on Facebook Fight Night Live inside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA Terrell Williams of Los Angeles, California defeated David Grayton of Washington, DC by unanimous decision.

It was a action packed fight between the two welterweights. In round one Williams timed Grayton perfectly to send him to the canvas by landing a straight right hand to the head. Grayton was able to finish the round, but Williams sent Grayton down again with a counter right hand to the head in round two.

The knockdowns didn't seem to bother Grayton because he still was coming out being aggressive to win round three. Williams quickly snatched back control in the fourth and fifth rounds by landing some hard right hands to settle Graytons' aggression down. In round six Williams put Grayton down on the canvas again. Grayton looked to bounce back in the eighth round when he was able to get inside of Williams to work the body. It was too late for Grayton as Williams closed out the final rounds. All three judges scored the contest for Williams with scores of 97-92, 98-89 and 99-90.

David Grayton falls to (15-3-1, 11 KO's) while Terrell Williams remains undefeated at (17-0, 13 KO's).

Williams looked very solid as he put more combinations together in round three. Fatulla tried to land some of his own shots, but Williams' speed and defense was working for him very well. Baltimore, MD's Franchon Crews Dezurn Captures WBC Super Middleweight Championship Title!

Baltimore, MD super middleweight "The Heavy Hitting Diva" Franchon Crews Dezurn won the vacant WBC Super Middleweight championship by majority decision over Maricela "La Diva" Cornejo tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

In the televised bout on ESPN2 Cornejo could not get past the power shots of Dezurn. In the mid-rounds Dezurn started to land her right hand after making the adjustments from the wide shots she was throwing earlier in the bout. The constant pressure from Dezurn looked to take Cornejo completely out of the fight. Dezurn was clearly the more focused and aggressive fighter. From ringside judge Patricia Morse Jarman didn't see it that way by scoring the bout 95-95. She was overruled by judges Dave Moretti and Tim Cheatham who both scored the bout for Dezurn, 99-91.

Franchon Crews Dezurn (4-1, 1 KO).  Maricela Cornejo's record drops to (12-3, 5 KO's).
