(Photos by Daniel Cork)

In the main-event on the Shabazz Brotherz card in front of a packed crowd at the La Fontaine Bleue in Glen Burnie, MD, Baltimore, Md's Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson defeated Delvecchio Savage of Tuscaloosa, AL by unanimous decision in a six-round super middleweight contest.

Simpson showed patience throughout this contest while he used his jab along with good defense to avoid the wild attacks from Savage. In each round Simpson kept his jab working and his feet moving to land shots and avoided shots. Simpson's game plan looked to be working because of the consistent use of his jab no matter what Savage did. Simpson set up some great combinations that consisted of right and left hooks. In the second-round Savage dropped his guard and allowed Simpson to land some hard shots to his face. In the third-round Simpson got in close to start his body attack on Savage. The bodywork seemed to bother Savage, but he fought his way through it. Simpson continued the bodywork in round four to get Savage to drop his guard. When Savage hands were low the talented Simpson did the smart thing by going back to his jab. All the hard body shots Simpson deposited in the early rounds seemed to add up going into the sixth round as Savage looked like he was outmatched in the final round. All three judges saw the contest the same 60-54 for Simpson.

Lorenzo Simpson remains undefeated at (6-0, 4 KO's) and Savage is now (3-5-1, 3 KO's).
