Venroy July, Attorney / Professional Boxer / Promoter

In 1994 the July family moved from Jamaica to New York City when Venroy was 11 years old. He focused on his education and received a scholarship to attend the Taff School, a prestigious boarding school in Watertown, Conn. Venroy furthered his education by graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004, and in 2007 graduated from Duke University School of Law. Venroy is now an attorney at Hogan Lovells that handles corporate litigation.

In July's freshman year at North Carolina he walked onto the wrestling team, and by his senior year he was one of the top wrestlers in the conference, winning the 197 pound title at the ACC tournament.

In 2009 Venroy July changed from ground attack to standing on his feet using his hands. He was in his first professional boxing match on July 25, 2009. He won his first fight and never looked back. Venroy is now 13-1 with 6KO's.

During his professional career Venroy decided to mix his business profession with his boxing profession. This is where he came up with Hardwork Promotions.
