Tony "The Tiger" Thompson Captures The WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight Championship Title!

Tony “The Tiger” Thompson (40-5, 27 KOs) scored a 9th round TKO over Odlanier Solis (20-3, 13 KOs) at the Gloria Sports Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.

According to Thompson outworked Solis throughout the fight and got the win when Solis quit at the start of round nine. The 272lb Solis actually got off to a good start, but quickly ran out of gas.  Now at age 43, Thompson looks headed toward another meaningful fight, while the boxing future of the 34-year-old Solis is in serious doubt.
