The champions have been linked since Peterson stopped Edgar Satana on Aug. 9, 2014, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on a fight card that featured Garcia destroying Rod Salka by second-round knockout.

The Peterson vs. Garcia bout will take place at the Barclays Center. The 26-year-old Garcia, a native of Philadelphia, has a strong following in Brooklyn. Peterson fans are geared up to make a strong showing for their hometown champion.
