Kings Promotions Highlights Six Beltway Boxers On A Twelve Bout Card In DC.

King's Promotions headed by Marshall Kauffman has made the decision to bring their promotion south of their hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC. On August 28 Kings Promotions will be having a professional boxing card at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center located at 801 Mount Vernon Pl NW, Washington, District of Columbia. This card will feature some of the best talent in the United States. 





For the main event of this card it will be a ten round lightweight bout between  Jonathan "La Cobra" Maicelo of North Bergen, NJ taking on Brandon "Untouchable" Bennett of Cincinnati, OH.

Bennett 19-1,(8KO's) has the most recent win of the two fighters. He had a third round stoppage over Rondale Hubbert back on May 29 his next scheduled opponent Maicelo is trying to bounce back from his 12 round unanimous decision loss to Darleys Perez for the WBA lightweight title on January 9.

The card will also will include 2008 US Olympian Raynell Williams 8-0, (4KO's) of Cleveland, OH, who will be in a six-round encounter against Jose Miguel Castro 5-5, (3KO's) of Carolina, Puerto Rico. Also 2012 Olympian Jamel "Semper Fi" Herring 12-0, (7KO's), Robert Easter 14-0, (11KO's), Jamontay "Quiet Assassin" Clark 6-0, (3KO's), and Detroit, MI heavyweight Leo Hall 6-0, (6KO's).

The highlight for the hometown crowd will feature six Beltway Boxers.


In a ten round bout Landover, MD super middleweight "The Real Deal" Phil Jackson Benson 15-2, (14KO's) returns to action against Jinner Guerrero 8-5, (6KO's) of Sucumbios, Ecuador. Jackson will be bouncing back from a TKO loss to Darnell Boone on April 18 in Valley Forge, PA. 

Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson of Laurel, MD will be in an eight round middleweight bout against Eduardo "Pin Pon" Tercero 9-6-1, (7KO's) of Mexico City, Mexico. Nicholson (13-1, 13 KO's) is coming off of three consecutive wins with two by way of knockout. He has bounced back strong after suffering his first career loss back on November 1, 2014 at the UIC Pavilion, Chicago, Illinois.


Washington, D.C. welterweight  Kareem "Reemo" Martin will be in a six round contest with a fighter that just fought in in Baltimore, MD, but lost by split decision to another area fighter named Yurii Polischuk. Martin 5-0-1, (3KO's) will face Anthony Prescott 5-6-2, (2KO's) of Cherry Hill, NJ. This will be Martin's second six round contest.


David "Day-Day" Grayton of Washington, D.C. will try to remain undefeated when he faces Jose Valderrama 4-10, (3KO's) of Arecibo, Puerto Rico in an eight round welterweight contest. Grayton 11-0, (8KO's) is coming off of two straight unanimous decision wins against Grayson Blake on April 18 and against Dominique Fosterat on November 22, 2014. Both were at the Valley Forge Casino and Resort in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.  


Undefeated Richmond, VA middleweight Immanuwel Aleem 13-0, (9KO's) will take on veteran Milton Nunez of Barranquilla, Colombia in an eight round contest. Aleem is coming off of a  first round TKO victory over David Toribio on May 23 in Boston, MA. Aleem has five consecutive knockouts before the Toribio bout. Nunez 28-14-1, (25KO's) is a fighter with a high knockout percentage that is trying to come off a three fight losing streak. 


Hyattsville, MD super lightweight Patrick Harris 6-0, (4KO's) will also be on the card. They are still looking for an opponent for this card.
