Lamont Roach Jr. Hits The Scale Inside Madison Square Garden In New York!



Hometown Beltway Boxer Lamont Roach Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD hit the scale today in preparation to defend his WBO International Super Featherweight championship title against Alberto "Transformer" Mercado of Humacao, Puerto Rico on Saturday, December 15th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Both fighters came in under the 130 pound limit. Lamont Roach tipped the scale at 129.5 and Alberto Mercado 129.25.

This card will take on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Madison Square Garden. The main event features Saul "Canelo" Alvarez  as he will step into the ring for the second time in three months, and moving up to 168 pounds to challenge Rocky Fielding for his WBA (regular) super middleweight champion.

Canelo, is already a two-weight division world champion and, is aiming to add a belt in a third division by challenging Fielding for his title.
