On Saturday November 9 in the main event of a Top Rank on ESPN+ card at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, California, WBO junior lightweight world titleholder Jamel Herring faces Lamont Roach Jr..
The 34 year old Herring (20-2, 10 KOs), 34, won the title win he defeated Masayuki Ito by unanimous decision in May. This will be the first defense of the belt for Herring. Herring loss to Ladarius Miller in August 2017, but has won four fights in a row, including his a unanimous decision over Adeilson Dos Santos in December 2018 also the title win over Ito.
Lamont Roach Jr. (19-0-1, 7 KOs), 24, started fought his way through 16 victories in a row until he battled Orlando Cruz to a split draw in April 2018 in Cruz's hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Roach stepped up the pace by has winning three consecutive fights, including a defeating Jonathan Oquendo by unanimous decision on the Canelo Alvarez-Daniel Jacobs undercard last May in Las Vegas.
The undercard will air at 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+ and the main card will air soon after starting at 10 p.m. ET.
