Results From Beltway Boxers Competing In Philadelphia


On Friday night, September 15, Colby Madison of Baltimore, battled Joey Dawejko of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In a heavyweight rematch as the main-event on a Kings Promotions card at the LIVE Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also brothers from Baltimore, Maryland, Ibrahim Robinson battled Eliezer Olmeda of Gloucester, New Jersey in a 6-round welterweight contest. Along with Muhammad Robinson who was in a 6-round super lightweight contest against Najeem Johns of Darby, Pennsylvania.

Joey “The Tank” Dawejko and Colby Madison fought in an eight-round heavyweight rematch for the WBC US Heavyweight title.  
This contest was a rematch of a bout from May of this year, which Dawejko won by unanimous decision.  
Dawejko versus Madison II was the main event of Kings Promotions’ “Ring Wars V,” an eight-bout evening of professional boxing from  Live! Casino in Philadelphia, PA.


Dawejko controlled the first half of the bout, able to land left hooks and overhand rights to Madison's head from the outside.  

By the fifth, Madison started committing more to his jab, and he had success. Dawejko continued to come forward, still demonstrating the power advantage when he landed.  

In the eighth round, a left hook from Dawejko in the sent Madison staggering backwards towards the ropes. Referee ruled this a knockdown, as the ropes kept Madison from going down.

Madison was able to continue the bout. Dawejko kept the pressure on, and controlled the round. 

After the clap to signify the final ten seconds of this bout, Dawejko launched and landed this leaping left hook. Once again, Madison staggered into the ropes, and Dali ruled a second knockdown.  

Madison was able to finish the bout. The bout went to the scorecards. The official scores were 80-70, 79-71, and 78-72, all for Dawejko, the winner by unanimous decision.  

The Fight Photos scored the bout 78-72 Dawejko.  

Dawejko repeats his decision victory, his record now (26-10-4, 14 KO's). Madison’s record is (11-6-2, 7 KO's).

Tonight, from the Live! Casino in Philadelphia, PA, Kings Promotions presented “Ring Wars V”, a night of professional boxing featuring eight bouts.
The opening contest featured “Hitman” Robinson of Baltimore, MD against Gloucester, NJ’s Eliezer “King Lion” Olmeda in a four-round welterweight bout.
The southpaw Olmeda started out coming forward, working to establish his jab. That seemed to be working until a counter right hand from Robinson landed. The aftermath of that is pictured here, as Olmeda descends to the canvas. Olmeda was able to beat the count. 

Robinson's more accurate and powerful punches controlled the bout, with Olmeda being game and effectively taking Robinson's shots. 

The bout went to the scorecards. The official scores were 60-53, 60-53, and 59-54, all for Robinson, the winner by unanimous decision. Robinson gets his sixth win, his record (6-0-1, 5 KO's). Olmeda’s record is 3-4.

Tonight, in Philadelphia, PA, two undefeated junior welterweights faced off. Baltimore, MD’s Muhammad “The Real Deal” Robinson took on Darby, PA’s Najeem “No Mercy” Johns.
Robinson versus Johns, scheduled for six rounds, was one of eight bouts on Kings Promotions’ “Ring War V” event. The action took place from Live! Casino Philadelphia.
The southpaw Johns caused trouble for Robinson from the start. Coming forward, Johns was able to land straight lefts on Robinson. 
At times a tactical bout, Johns controlled the contest with his aggression, activity, and stronger blows. 
Here, in the third, Johns opens up and lands a right to the body of Robinson. 

The bout went to the scorecards and there were no knockdowns. The official scores were 59-55, 59-54, and 60-54, all for Johns, the winner by unanimous decision. 

The decision keeps Johns unbeaten, his record (5-0, 4KO's ). Robinson is now (6-1, 2KO's).
