Beltway Boxing Area Fight Card Sets Televised Network Viewer Records!

The April 1st telecast of the Adrien Broner-Ashley Theophane bout at the DC Armory set a viewership record for Spike TV who televised the card.

The main event fight averaged 1.013 million viewers, making it the most-watched boxing match in Spike TV network history.  The overall Spike telecast on Friday, which included undefeated Baltimore boxer Gervonta Davis, averaged 873,000 viewers, also a Spike network record for a boxing event.

The previous record was the Amir Khan-Chris Algieri bout on May 29 in Brooklyn, NY.  The bout, who by Khan by 12-round unanimous decision, averaged one million viewers.
