UNDER CARD RESULTS

Robert Easter Jr, stopped a close fight with a Knockout.  Easter landed a powerful overhand right that dropped former champion Algenis Mendez in his tracks in the fifth round.

Algenis made it to his feet before the 10-count, but referee William Johnson, seeing the dazed look in the eyes of Mendez, stopped it 2:43 of the fifth round.

Easter remains undefeated at 17-0 with 14 KOs. Mendez, 29, fell to 23-4-1 with 12 KOs.

Gervonta "Tank" Davis continues to impress the boxing world as a young and talented professional. Davis was landing some hard head and body shots on his opponent Guillermo "El Borrego" Avila of Jamay, Mexico. Throughout the bout Davis pressing forward more as Avila had no choice but to fight going backwards. It was a straight left hand from Davis that sent Avila down to the canvas late in the fifth round.

Davis seemed to get more energized from the cheers of the crowd which wasn't great for Avila. Davis landed two crushing right uppercuts to force referee Michelle Myers to step in and stop the bout at 29 seconds of the sixth round.

Davis has an impressive record of 15-0, 14 KO's while Avila is now 15-6, 12 KO's.

Anthony Peterson won a 10-round unanimous decision over Samuel Untouchable Neequaye.  Peterson and Neequaye battled mostly in the close range all throughout the bout. Neequaye stayed close but Peterson did most of the damage by landing hard body shots, left hooks that were set up by a solid left jab. Peterson got the decision win with the scores of 100-90, 97-93 and 96-94.

Peterson is now 37-1, 24 KO's. Neequaye is 22-2, 15 KO's.

Super middleweight J'Leon Love of Inkster, MI defeated Michael Gbenga of Lagos, Nigeria.

Love and Gbenga fought each other hard throughout the contest. It was late in the fifth round when love seemed to be the stronger fighter by landing the very hard body shots before the round ended. in the sixth round was two seconds after the bell range when the referee called off the contest with Gbenga still on on his stool.

Love is now 22-1, 16 KO's.  Gbenga falls to 17-25, 16 KO's.

Demond Nicholson gets another win by going the full eight-round for a unanimous decision over the tough Joshua Okine.

Nicholson did his usual thing by landing some hard body shots. Some of the shots were just below the belt line so referee Brent Bovell gave him a warning. Okine landed good shots as well but Nicholson stood in and took them and kept pressing Okine.  Nicholson won the bout with the scores of 80-72, 78-74 and 79-72.

Nicholson is now 17-1, 16 KO's.  Okine drops to 22-5, 15 KO's.

Hyattsville, MD lightweight Patrick Harris scored his career knockout over Derrick Bell of Accra, Ghana. It was a hard body shots that Harris landed to break Bell down.  To end the contest Harris dropped Bell with a left hook to the body hand followed it by a right to the head. referee Joseph Cooper gave Bell the eight count but saw Bell wasn't in any kind of shape to continue on. The bout was stopped at 1:03 of round two.

Harris is now 8-0, 5 KO's. Bell falls to 12-28-1, 7 KO's.

In a super welterweight bout Shynggyskhan Tazhibay battled his way to a tough four-round unanimous decision over Rairus Dudley.

Tazhibay and Dudley had an even exchange of blows throughout the bout, but it was Tazhibay that seemed to win the judges over. Tazhibay won the bout with the scores of 40-36 and 39-37 twice to raise his record to 3-0, 2 KO's while Dudley falls to 2-1-1, 2 KO's.

The card opened up with Gerald Tucker of Cincinnati, Ohio winning a four-round unanimous decision over Anthony Napunyi of Lagos, Nigeria.  Tucker won by shutout on all three cards, 40-36.

Tucker stays undefeated at 5-0-1 with 3 KO's.

After the main event  Kareem Martin defeated Somner Martin by unanimous decision.

Kareem Martin started the bout off boxing very well, but he landed a hard shot to the top of the Somners head in the first round and injured it. Kareem had to complete the bout with basically one hand.

Even with the use of one hand Kareem Martin won on all three judges score cards 60-54.

Kareem Martin increases his record to 8-0-1, 3 KO's. while Somner Martin falls to 5-2, 3 KO's.
