Undercard Results of The Roc Nation Sports Throne Boxing Card In Washington, DC!




To open the Throne Boxing card presented by Roc Nation Sports it was Junior "The Young God" Younan of Brooklyn. NY getting the TKO victory over Rodrigo Almeida. The bout was stopped after round one when Almeida suffered a injury to his right arm. All three judges had Younan ahead 10-9.

Junior Younan remains perfect at 9-0 (7 KO's) as Rodrigo Almeida falls to 1-5.

In a four round heavyweight bout Mike Balogun out of Largo, MD put in some early work when he over powered Devon Mosley of Capitol Heihgts, MD with some hard body shots to send Mosley to the canvas twice. It was after the second knockdown when the referee stepped and put a stop to the bout at 1;08 giving Balogun the first round TKO.

Balogun is now 6-0 (5 KO's) while Mosley falls to 0-5.

6'-6' Southpaw heavyweight Zhang "Big Bang" Zhilei from Zhengzhou, China defeated John Orr out of Kansas City, Missouri. Orr stood his ground for the first minute of the first round until Zhilei started to double up on his shots. Zhang's solid jab opened up the opportunity to throw the right hood that landed flush on the jaw of Orr sending him down to the canvas. The bout was stopped at 2:27 giving Zhilei TKO victory.


Zhang "Big Bang" Zhilei improves to 9-0 (6 KO's) while John Orr is now 1-8.

In a six round junior welterweight contest Abner Cotto of Caguas, Puerto Rico faces Baltimore, MD's Sam Amoako.  Both fighters battled tough using the entire ring going blow for blow. It was Cotto who seemed to land more consistently in every round. The judges scored the bout 58-56, and 60-54 twice giving Cotto the unanimous decision win.

Abner Cotto improves to 20-3 (9 KO's) while Sam Amoako falls to 17-11 (14 KO's).

Sam "The Vanilla Gorilla" Crossed of Greenbelt, MD and Damion Reed from Danville, VA fought a tough 4 round cruiserweight bout. Crossed looked for the knockout, but Reed stood in and battled toe to toe. During round three Crossed landed a hard looping right hand around the glove of Reed, but it wasn't hard enough to get the result Crossed wanted. Crossed wins by majority decision with the scores of 38-38, 40-36, and 39-37.

Crossed is now 3-0 (1 KO) while Reed falls to 2-14 (1 KO).
