ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES FOUNDATION BLACK TIE & SNEAKER GALA


Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Lamar Jackson and the Lamar Jackson Entertainment Presents ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES FOUNDATION "It’s Okay Knot To Be Okay" Black Tie & Sneaker Gala supporting Mental Health Awareness taking place on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at The Anthem in Washington, DC. ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES FOUNDATION, INC has developed the inaugural production of "It’s Okay Knot To Be Okay" to promote the public’s awareness of mental health illnesses and disorders along with providing available resources while changing the narrative surrounding mental health and the stigma associated with it.

 
"It’s Okay Knot To Be Okay" Black Tie & Sneaker Gala will be hosted by Comedian & Actor Anthony Anderson (‘BLACK-ISH’ & ‘Law & Order’) in partnership with Lamar Jackson and Lamar Jackson Entertainment. The ‘Edutainment’ experience will feature over 1000 attendees, a VIP Red Carpet reception with a light fare menu and crafted cocktails followed by a ballroom themed three (3) course fine dining affair and an array of performing arts such as live musical performances by national recording artists Songstress 'Tweet', Grammy Award Winning Violinist 'Miri Ben Ari' and Harpist 'Tulani' with house band 'Push Play', an aerial performance, a ballroom boxing exhibition by IOKTBO Founder Joe 'Alley Cat' Diggs & 2x Middle Weight Boxing Champion Keith Holmes, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe will also be honoring DC's Unsung 6 Boxing Champions, a special keynote speaker address and an intimate fireside chat Let's Talk About It with our Celebrity Moderator, Award Winning Journalist Soledad O’Brien featuring panelists such as Talk Show Host Terri Long, World Champion Keith Holmes, Tweet, Virginia Tech Victim Foundation Founder Joe Samara (Father of VT Massacre victim Reema Samara), Dr. Eva Trent, Dr. Chandra Reynolds, Charlene Hayling-Williams and others.

Following our opening performances, the principal components of the evening will be three (3) moderated segments that will cover five (5) mental health verticals including PTSD, Suicide, Depression, Anxiety and Addiction. Each segment will have a thematic speaker, fireside chat and an awards presentation to mental health organizations, municipal supporters, sponsors and our medical service providers Gold Sponsors CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield & Strategic Partners Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES FOUNDATION’s goal is to change the narrative surrounding mental health and inspire people to talk about their lived experience. Thereby, destigmatizing issues not always discussed openly and galvanizing a movement to drive significant cultural, political and policy changes. The Foundation’s mission is to support and provide financial assistance to other mental health organizations, foundations, non-profits and mental health practitioners.
