In a six round contest at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, MS, Gervonta Davis entered the ring for his 9th consecutive professional bout against the veteran German Meraz of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Davis sent Meraz to the canvas twice in the bout. Davis landed solid right hooks in both the second and fifth rounds that dropped Meraz. Davis won the bout on all three judges scorecards 60-52.
Davis improves his record to 9-0, eight KO's. Meraz falls to 47-32-1, 25 KO's.
