BALTIMORE, MD undefeated featherweight Gervonta "Tank" Davis (8-0, 8 KOs) is at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Davis will face German "Panteonero" Meraz (47-31-1, 25 KOs) in a six round bout. Davis' fight will be televised on ESPN2, and is promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Warriors Boxing & Promotions, LLC. In the main event, Arkansas' Jermain Taylor will challenge Australia's Sam Soliman for the IBF Middleweight Title. Davis weighed in 127 lbs while his opponent Meraz was 125 lbs.
Also representing the Beltway Boxing area will be Landover, MD's by way of Brooklyn, NY "The Real Deal" Phil Jackson Benson. Benson will be in a 8 round contest with "The Amazing" Michael Gbenga of Accra, Ghana.
Phil Jackson Benson hit the scale weighing in at 172 lbs and Michael Gbenga weighed 174 lbs. The Benson, Gbenga bout will not be a part of the televised broadcast.
