Jarrell Miller Not Fighting, Denied License by New York After Failed VADA Test!

Jarrell Miller finds himself without a fight date after it was revealed that the “A” sample from a March 20 random drug test through Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) showed  findings of the banned substance GW1516.

When the news hit that Jarrell Miller failed a VADA drug test, now he's been denied a license by the New York State Athletic Commission. He is no longer eligible to fight on June 1, a show which Joshua and his team have remained adamant about keeping alive at Madison Square Garden.

Talks immediately turned to who might replace him. “There’s not anything else,” Hearn insisted, dismissing any suggestion of moving off of the current June 1 date. “We haven’t talked about a new date. We’ve sold over 17,000 tickets, we’ve got 10,000 Brits flying in.”

Anthony Joshua will make the seventh defense of one of his major heavyweight titles, with his reign dating back to a 2nd round knockout of Charles Martin in April 9, 2016. Since turning pro in 2013, Joshua has only fought in the United Kingdom and has become the largest gate ticket seller in the world.

Hearn has a list of new opponents including Cuban veteran Luis "King Kong" Ortiz, Polish-American Adam Kowacki, the Bulgarian Kulat Pubrev , German Manuel Charr and the lesser-known US heavyweight Michael Hunter.
